Glad to hear from you! It's been a while! Hope that all is going well at your end.

Yep, I've been very busy lately! And I've got several sketches in the works. The image at the head of my journal is actually Vampire Hunter D...here's the full pic [link] I loved how his eyes came out so he became my new journal header! That, and D has been one of my favourites for a very long time...

I'll have to get around to some better Kenshin and Kurama pics than what you've already got since I've become very comfortable in OC and with using my tablet now.

Yep, stayed home and got plenty of fresh air! I've never gotten sick from paint before, but I typically use plain old white...there may be something in one of the colour tints...or it may just be the confined area with a lack of proper ventilation.

The page looks really good! I think I need to do something better for Kenshin than what I've been doing....I'm not sure I like the way I've been drawing him. Sometimes, we all need a change of scenery...

And the image in my journal is actually cropped from 'Shield Maiden'...I loved how her eyes turned out! Thank you for the compliment!

Pain fumes... that is just nasty. One of the worst headaches I ever had was because of paint fumes. I hope you decided to stay home. Open the windows and get lots and lots of fresh air.

Fortunately, the bruising has finally gone away and the hand is working normally. Took a bit to clear up, but all better now...guess I've learned my lesson!

And the pain of loss does dull with time, to leave only the happy memories....trust me on that one.

Glad the hand is alright (it's the nurse in me I suppose--don't go around banging things, honey. Especially if you do have karate skills... and you're a redhead... hmmm, bad combination )
I almost have the repairs done to the Kenshin/Battousai pge. I put your new Kenshin pic up. Hope to show it to you in a day or so.

Theropy...don't you know. I'm dealing with the loss--each day is a little easier (if it is ever easy.)

The hand is okay...still bruised and painful, but I can tolerate it. It is a frustration that I truly brought upon myself. Combine a redhead's temper with a martial artist's reflexs and you get...well...me! It is humbling to be reminded to control one's emotions...

Besides, this is minor compared to the trials of the rest of my life...but I must aspire to persevere....

My baby is gone... I put her to sleep yesterday. I have cried an ocean. I know it is the best thing. She was in so much pain Mon-Tues... but it hurts so much. The boys and I buried her this morning.

It always astounds me how deeply these things reach, and how strongly they stay with us. It never fails me that, when I am in such a deeply distressed frame of mind, it all comes back for me. It gives release to the wrenching of the soul, and I can then go on...

But it is still sad to me that sometimes the best and brightest are taken from us, but they often gain an immortality from their fate, ne?

And thank you for listening to my rantings....I have dove into my art for solace, and am now incredibly busy with it. Suddenly, my problems don't seem so big...
